Hey All, if you get a chance click on the websites above for me...it helps out A LOT! This image was taken at my Disney wedding and I have to say that this was one of the most exuberant garter tosses in my history of weddings. While Ransen sure loves Christina, he threw the garter like there was truly no tomorrow. It was moving so fast it even blurred in the image as you can see....:)
Camera settings: Nikon D3, 1/125 sec at f/5.0, 16mm at ISO 3200, flash fired. Taken at 8:34pm at Disneyland Resort by Jason Lanier.

Sometimes it's hard to capture this moment of a wedding if you are a single (solo) shooter at a wedding because as the bride is walking down the aisle you are capturing shots of her from behind. In order to capture this shot you have to run around the sides of the chairs and get it before it's over because it can happen so quickly.
Well, that's what I did here for my shot of the Father giving away his daughter at her wedding at the Grand Tradition in Fallbrook. They have bushes that border the side of the ceremony chairs, so I snuck around, zoomed in between the bushes, and grabbed this shot. Hope you like it!
Camera settings: Nikon D3, 1/1000 sec at f/16, 65mm at ISO 1250, flash did not fire. Taken at 4:01pm.

The Bridal Room at the Grand Tradition in Fallbrook is one of the best wedding venues around. Most wedding venues have the bridal getting ready room off in some corner, well, not at Grand Tradition. They took the time to beautifully adorn the room which makes for AMAZING images. Taken at my wedding at the Grand Tradition in Fallbrook of Blake and Stephanie.
Camera settings: Nikon D3, 1/125 sec at f/9.0, 28mm at ISO 2500, flash fired. Taken at 3:34pm.

I LOVE shooting through mirrors....just love it. This image was taken at my wedding for Blake and Stephanie at the Grand Tradition in Fallbrook, CA in the Beverly Mansion. Mirrors should be a photographer's best friend if used wisely because they can add such a unique look to the image and truly give it a different perspective compared to how we normally view the world....

Disney is the only place where I've ever been able to shoot with characters as part of the wedding...truly a unique and awesome experience! This image was taken at my wedding for Christina and Ransen at Disneyland for their wedding in disney and was done while the bride and groom were preparing for the cake cutting. I just love how you can sense the excitement from these two even though technically you can't see the looks on their faces....well, not the humans at least....:)
Camera settings: Nikon D3, 1/160 sec at f/6.3, 16mm at ISO 3200, flash fired. Taken at 8:53pm.

Sometimes the sweetest things in life are the most simple things in life. I loved this shot of Cameron and Whitney because of that...it was just a sweet moment between the wedding couple as they came out of the temple to the cheering of their friends and family. Completely unposed, just a simple moment where they shared a kiss...
Camera settings: Nikon D800, 1/160 sec at f/5.6, 28mm at ISO 400, flash fired. Taken at 1:08pm.

This image was taken at my wedding for Mitch and Cassaundra at the Christmas House Inn and Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Such a beautiful moment when the wedding couple clutches hands together during the ceremony. It's the reason why I love shooting weddings....I just love being able to witness the love that people have for each other every time I shoot...

I just love this image taken at the Mosteller Mansion for my wedding there with Aaron and Daryl. This was during the Garter Toss, and as you can see the bride (Daryl) had to brace herself because Aaron was very vigorous in his search for the garter...:) What an amazing and fun couple...one of my true faves ever.
Camera settings: Nikon D800, 1/80 sec at f/4.0, 16mm at ISO 3200, flash fired. Taken at 9:11pm.

Hey everybody,
The new Supernatural Shoots website is up! You especially have to check out the videos that show our adventures and everything that we went through to make these shoots what they are...a ton of fun! This image here was taken at our last Supernatural Shoot at the Moundsville State Penitentiary. I captured this using off camera flash with my Nikon SB910, Ray Flash, and Pocket Wizards. It started raining so we didn't have long to shoot outside, but it was a BLAST!!
Camera settings: Nikon D800, 1/160 sec at f/4.0, 16mm at ISO 800, flash fired. Taken at 7:20pm on April 16, 2013 by Jason Lanier.

This image was taken when I stole the bride and groom away from the reception for 5 minutes for a quick pose and kiss on the stairs at the Laguna Beach Montage Wedding. It was such a beautiful event and I'm so honored that I had the opportunity to shoot it. Thanks Eric and Michele!

This image was taken at my wedding for Eric and Michele at the Laguna Beach Montage Resort and Spa for their wedding. I just love live bands at weddings, and when they perform the photographer really needs to capture some great shots to remember the moment...

Workshop attendee Devon from the Miami 2013 workshop describes her experience via video regarding her time at the Jason Lanier Photography Miami Workshop. She describes her experience as, “amazing” and that she is attending multiple workshops with Jason. Her favorite part was going to locations that she would never think to go to, and how to utilize lighting in low light situations.

This is still one of my favorite shots taken during the Group Portraits at the Grand Tradition for the wedding of Blake and Stephanie. We tried the entire group shot session to get the little Ring Bearer to give the bride a kiss and he was just too shy. This capture came when we got him the closest he ever got to kissing her and I was in the right spot (low to the ground) which is where you should be when shooting children’s images. I LOVE his little cheeks…just ADORABLE!!

This image was taken at my wedding for David and Elaine at the San Diego LDS Temple in San Diego, CA. LDS weddings are very unique in that there is normally a lot of time between the ceremony and reception, which is a rarety for photographers. This gives us the opportunity to capture some great shots without the pressure of needing to get to the Reception. For this shot I was lying down in the grass...I can still feel the itchiness now, but it was worth it for this shot.
